And that is what I have been doing with myself these past two months, waiting and not doing.
My office space where I write is under construction. I'm a nester. I will wait to write once its done.
I don't have my old music system up, so to be inspired by my tunes. Another excuse to wait.
We had a long trip a long long ways away with family a couple months ago. I haven't settled in yet. I have a ever restless two year old and a million and one commitments, Spring is here and house restoration is back in full swing, life is.....
Life is chaotic. But life will continue on at a imperfect whirlwind pace and will not be an excuse for me not to write any longer.
"If I waited for perfection, I would never write a word." ~~~Margaret Atwood
True enough Ms. Atwood. True enough.

Carry a small notepad and jot down interesting ideas, quotes, or bits of dialogue or plot twists. You might find yourself making a new temporary niche in which to write. Never give up your dream, Roland
ReplyDeleteThanks, Roland. And thank you for continuing to support me, even after I have disapeared from the Blogesphere time and again.
DeleteAs for the notepad and pencil, I have had one of those on me since childhood. Just part of this girls wardrobe. *wink*
Hi, Nicole,
ReplyDeleteTrue words from Ms. Atwood. When I'm in the middle of a book, I write, come what may. I'm with Roland in terms of getting stuff down whenever and wherever you can.
So agree and best of luck to you I might add. I hope completion is not far up ahead for ya. ;-D
DeleteLove the quote. Margaret is definitely inspiring. So was Margaret Lawrence, even though she committed suicide. Her story reminds me that millenniums may come and go, but writers are basically the same wonderful and insecure beings. We need to stick together.
ReplyDeleteHappy IWSG, Nicole!
It makes one less lonely when a student of history. Thanks Joylene!
