Sunday Musings From Under the Steps: The Darker Side of Goose

"For every evil under the sun, there is a remedy, or there is none. If there be one, seek till you find it; If there be none, never mind it.
~~~M. Goose
A lovely fairytale survival lesson that translates so well to the real world.
  1. I like this. Don't you wonder sometimes if Mother Goose was a real person or a conglomeration of people? It's a mystery. Sort of like Shakespeare....
    I like the title, too-The Darker Side of Goose-cool!
  2. Shakespeare? Mother Goose may or may not have been a collection of many's works or a pen name (????), but William Shakespeare was one man who wrote stories, plays and poems in the 15 and 1600's. He did collaborations with others but much of his work was his own. :-D Fan since high school.
    And Goose tales like Grims were originally a great deal darker. I say bring on the old editions!
    Thanks Words Crafter!
  3. I love this one. And I see that Shakespeare is a touchy subject for you:-p. Also agree with your comment. The original Grimm Fairy Tales are way darker.
  5. If you do not seek the remedy for the evil, you will never discover if there is none to pursue. A riddle. Like much of life, there is no knowing until the struggle. Have a great week, Roland.
