A is for Art.

  1. It's a perfectly reasonable view, yet there is a danger in it. Because it quickly goes from not having to do a thing for it to be art to being obliged not to, because doing things conventionally is passé. Art asks questions, but if the only question it asks is 'what is art' then it's not doing much.

    1. stu, one of the many things good art does IS make us ask questions. Now if a viewer is still stuck on "what is art", I think they may suffer from a virgin palette and be in need of experiencing the world around them. The definition of art is broad and varied. Art is all created or reimagined things that make us feel something, ask something and even maybe do something.

      shelly, thank you so much!

  2. Yes, art is the soul of the artist -- which is why sometimes cruel crticism wounds so badly. Lovely start.

    1. Thanks Roland. And it indeed does sting on occasion. I know as a person, I am not everyone's cup of tea. So when my writing is the same, I don't fret. Remember, we are doing this writing thing for ourselves. Having others enjoy it too, is the sweet icing on top.

  3. Checking out your site. I enjoyed reading your About Me talks of a work in progress. Is very true and was refreshing to read.

  4. I pinned this image. I also pinned something a day or two ago from your last post and it has already gotten a couple of re-pins!
